Our Practice
The Center For Reproductive Medicine and Fertility has been providing a high level of care for infertile couples since 1985. As a "one physician" office, we are able to personalize patient care in a friendly, caring environment. Our practice is able to provide such technology complex treatments as In-Vitro Fertilization, Oocyte Donation, Embryo Cryo preservation, Intro-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection, Assisted Zona Hatching and a Gestational Carrier Program. While all of these techniques are readily available, clearly, most infertile couples do not require these complex approaches to therapy and can be helped with relatively simple office based procedures.
Our practice philosophy is to help couples achieve pregnancy as quickly and simply as possible. Our staff is friendly, experienced and extremely knowledgeable concerning all aspects of caring for couples involved in treatment. We try our very best to provide the support, education, and kindness needed to get through this process. We strive to know our patients as individuals so that we can individualize the care we provide. Achieving success is unquestionably a team effort and we do our very best to give all that is necessary to succeed.

About Dr. Manara
Dr. Manara is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served a rotating internship and a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. This was followed by a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, under the direction of Dr. Edward E. Wallach, Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital and Director of Reproductive Endocrinology. Following fellowship training, he returned to UMDNJ as an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Sub-Section Director of Reproductive Endocrinology. During his years at UMDNJ, he developed one of the first successful IVF programs in the State of New Jersey. He entered private practice in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in 1985 and has continued in private practice since that time.
About Dr. Dougherty
Dr. Michael P. Dougherty graduated from The Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Dougherty then pursued a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Augusta University, where he studied under the distinguished chair, Dr. Lawrence C. Layman. Dr. Dougherty’s research thesis was published in the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Dougherty has a special interest in management of patients with unexplained infertility and absent menstrual cycles due to any number of conditions - polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism to name a few. No matter the patient, he focuses on providing compassionate, individualized care through evidence-based medicine. Dr. Dougherty highlights patient education to help remove the mystery behind infertility. He is also passionate about fertility planning and fertility preservation through egg and embryos cryopreservation.
